spring Dance Recital
Low-Cost for Parents, Stress-Free for Kids!
Each year we have a fun dance recital in May at the end of the Spring Session to celebrate what the dancers have learned – to make the students feel special, yet keeping it practical for parents. The recital and dress rehearsal are performed locally on a stage with lights, curtains, and backstage rooms to give the dancers a real theater experience! Participation in recital is not required to be a part of the Spring Session.
We believe recitals don't have to cost an arm and a leg to be fun AND professional. Therefore, we make it our aim to keep costs down for families. A recital fee is required to participate and enables the students to enjoy all that a real theater has to offer! Each class will have their own unique costume (and yes, they get to keep their costume!)
The recital fee can be broken down into a 2-PAYMENT PLAN - one part due at the beginning of January, the second part due by April 1st. Or families can pay the recital fee in full at the beginning of the semester.
See our RECITAL PACKET PAGE here
Classes run as usual during recital semester; however, beginning mid-semester each class will begin to combine steps they have learned into a dance which will be shared for family and friends at the recital. To help the students feel comfortable and encouraged, their class teacher will be on stage with them while they perform, guiding them from the side. Students do not have to dance in the recital in order to participate in the session. However, please notify the Director upon registering for the recital semester if you are unable to dance in the recital or have a conflict with the mandatory dress rehearsal. All students who participate in the recital must attend the dress rehearsal the day before in order to perform in the show as this preparation is a vital part of creating the best experience for your dancer.
Part of dance training is presenting in front of others. Giving your child the chance to share in this way gives her a sense of accomplishment and builds self-confidence that will help her in other non-dance related activities. It is a very special and memorable day for family and friends as well!
Our recitals are low-cost for parents, stress-free for kids, and memorable for all!
